Easter Fun!

What a fun holiday we had! We celebrated Easter in so many ways, I definitely made up for not celebrating St. Patricks' Day this year!
A week before Easter, the girls got together with their cousins to dye Easter eggs at my Mom's house. I'm not sure how great that idea was, it was pretty crazy with 4 little ones, but I know they had a fun time (I think the adults were the only ones stressed out about the dye & mess)!

The Saturday before Easter we went to the South Salt Lake Easter Egg Hunt and luckily, the rain held out just long enough for the girls to do the hunt and for us to get in our car. The rain started falling just as we were leaving the parking lot! The girls had a hard time waiting to start, but found fun in putting their buckets on their heads! Silly girls!

After we got home, we decided to have the girls paint some eggs since we had recently found out that they LOVE hard-boiled eggs and they, of course, love painting. We also made some Easter sugar cookies to eat and leave for the Easter Bunny.

Then, on Sunday (the actual holiday), the Easter Bunny came and left lots of fun things for the girls in their baskets and of course, left some eggs for them to find around the house. Then, it was off to church and the girls got to wear their new Easter dresses. This was a tradition my Mom always did...every Easter we would get a new dress and I think it's such a fun thing to do to celebrate Spring and newness!

Then, to finish off the holiday, we went to Curt's parents house to eat dinner, visit and of course, have another Easter Egg Hunt or as they like to call it, the candy hunt. They just hide candy around, no eggs needed, but believe me, the kids love it! Candy and drinks and chips everywhere! The favorite for my girls this year had to be the ring pops. As you can tell from the full buckets below, the girls got more than they could ever eat, I'm sure our dentist is going to love us!

HAPPY EASTER!!!
