Christmas Fun!

We have had a lot of fun this holiday season, so I thought I'd share with you some of our traditions and memories that we've made this year. We hope everyone had a great time spent with family and friends!
We had a fun FHE the Monday before Christmas...we went to Temple Square to see the lights with the girls. It was sooo cold, but we bundled up really warm and got some hot chocolate to help us out! We watched the nativity story and went inside the visitors' center to see the Cristus and listen to the recording they have there. The girls loved all the lights, but I have to admit I think they aren't putting up as many as they used to and Curt and I were a little disappointed.
Christmas Eve was spent with my extended family. We had the usual ham and turkey with potatoes, etc. and we had our gift exchange. I forgot my camera so I still have to get pictures from my brother (I'll try to post some later).
Then, Christmas day was spent having "the best Christmas ever" (according to Jacie). She got exactly what she had asked for this year..."Dora Pegsus" (Pegasus), "a Barbie" and "a little pony". I love the look on her face when she saw she had gotten the "Pegsus". When she opened up the Barbie she said "this looks like me".
Rylie got a little people farm that makes sounds (she loves animals), a Barbie and a Little Pony too! (I know it's probably a little early for Rylie to have a Barbie, but they must have the same things so they don't fight over them, right?!) But, her favorite presents were found in the stocking...the candy! She ate every single one of them without stopping (I'm glad Santa ran out of room in the stocking and ended up only leaving 5 pieces of candy). I love the look on her face in the pictures...one full of candy and one so excited about her present! I also LOVE the bedhead look! Her hair has been looking fabulous in the mornings lately...it's just at that length!
Then, we headed to Curt's parent's house to have brunch and visit and open more presents. Jacie got some Cinderella polly pockets that she just loves (I'm not sure how long we'll have the shoes, but she's having fun for now). Rylie got a stuffed pink elephant and a kitten book with touch and feel pages. We had a fun time there then, headed over to my Mom's again to hang out, eat leftovers and enjoy some time together.
Although it seemed like we were constantly on the go Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we really had a lot of fun being with our family and sharing time together!

Thank you so much for making all those fun comments on my blog!! What darling blog & family you have. And yes, isn't it a small world!! When I have a little more time I wanted to put up a photo in my Facebook album of everyone in the group. It's so fun to see how everyone is connected. Is it Whitney Glendenning that you know? She's my little sisters best friend. I hope you win, it would be so fun to meet you. Good Luck!!
