Happy 4th Birthday to My Jacie!

Jacie turned 4 today and I just can't believe how fast time goes by. She is definitely not little anymore and she lets us know that she is not "our baby". She has her own personality and is much more opinionated about what she likes and doesn't like. Her favorite color is red (sometimes pink too) and she doesn't like brown, except brown clothes or shoes are okay. She HATES clothes with buttons and jeans (I had to go out and buy her a whole new set of pants that are pull-up type). She LOVES her fancy Christmas dress and has refused to wear anything but that on Sundays for the past month. She loves to play with animals, Dora, Barbies, and loves to play games with Mommy and Daddy...her favorite is Candyland. She knows all of her letters and sounds and she can identify beginning sounds of words, but when I want to sit down and work with her on studying something she doesn't want to. She LOVES reading books, stalling at bedtime, not taking naps and she LOVES her cousins, grandparents and Julia, her best friend across the street!
For the past 6 weeks, since Rylie's birthday, she has been looking forward to her birthday. She has talked about it constantly and was so excited to finally celebrate it the past few days. We went out to eat at Ruby River and she got to have a HUGE mud pie for her birthday dessert, she mainly just wanted to play with it, but was ecstatic that it was hers. She wanted to go to the Mayan (a jungle themed Mexican restaurant with divers and parrots), but they had a huge wait and wouldn't accept any more call-in reservations, so we went to our favorite place instead (yay for us!). Then, we went to Jungle Jim's to ride on rides and play some games. She chose that as the place she wanted to go with the family to go play and we had a blast! She had fun playing lots of games too and got some fantastic prizes with all the tickets we won. She kept saying "It's my birthday now...it's my birthday all day!"

Then, today, her actual birthday, she was so excited! She woke up and we said "It's your birthday Jacie" and she said, "Again, yay, it's my birthday day again!" She wanted a Dora cake so we had a cake with Dora figurines on it and made star cupcakes. We had my family over to celebrate and her best friend, Julia, came over too! She got some fabulous presents, but I'd have to say her favorite has got to be the Vtech camera (she has been obsessed with taking pictures lately and is really good at it, but we were tired of her always using our camera, so we had to get her one of her own). She had a fun time with family and her best friend! It has been a fun few days, but I'm glad that now the holidays and the girls' birthdays are over for now and we can get life back to normal again too!Say "Cheese"!!!
