We LOVE Red, White & Blue Day!!!
Thanks to living in Utah we have Independence Weekend this year since the 4th of July falls on a Sunday so celebrations were moved to Friday and Saturday this year and we have definitely taken the entire weekend to celebrate this time around. Friday: We went to see a parade in the early evening and watch Monsters vs. Aliens in the park afterward.
Saturday: We went to an early morning parade and the girls got to play some games/win prizes and watch a magician (who was cracking jokes just for the adults, so we were entertained as well) and then, we went to a park with Curt's side of the family to eat and play and then, watched fireworks.
Sunday: We went to church in the afternoon to sing patriotic songs and listen to some great lessons/talks and then, over to my Mom's to have some dinner/celebrate birthdays and set off and watch some fireworks of our own.
It was a great weekend and the kids had a blast. I love the 4th of July and everything that it stands for...we live in such an amazing country and we are blessed in so many ways. I am grateful for our freedoms and all of the liberties we have been given!!! Happy Independence Day and Weekend to all!
