Jacie managed to jump right off the trampoline Saturday night and we ended up taking her to the ER to get stitches. It was a "fun" 5 1/2 hour trip! I hate that it always takes so long, but she had to hurt herself at night on a weekend, so what else could we expect. She ended up only having to get 3 stitches and they are in her eyebrow so they said it should heal nicely. We were in the same room of the same hospital for the same thing about 2 1/2 years ago.
Of course, we also have our family pictures scheduled for Friday, so that's nice timing. Hopefully it won't show in the pictures, but if it does, I guess that's how life goes. She wasn't too upset about getting hurt or being at the ER until they gave her the nasty tasting sedative and although that helped her to not remember anything after that, I was a bit traumatized by it all~it's never fun seeing one of your children in pain!
She is surprisingly pretty happy, I guess it was because she got to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the waiting room.
We had to wait soooooo long in the surgery room. They had a busy night at the hospital. I just can't believe she couldn't pick a better night to get hurt. Lol.
At least she got to have a popsicle when she was done and it was even her favorite color-red. She looks so dazed in this picture. They said she would feel like she was drunk and she wouldn't remember anything. She was definitely "feeling happy" then!
This was the next day, she loved having her Dora bandaid on her head. I think she likes having a battle wound. She said "Mommy take a picture of me and my owie!"

Hey Trieste! Its Cassie! :) I saw your blog off Tiffany's and thought I would take a look, its very cute!
Jacie got 3 stiches?! That is not too bad. Last month Porter got 5 in his forehead after falling on my mom's chair recliner handle. Then a week later he got them taken out & 26 hours after that, he popped it back open. So then he got 7 more stiches! for another week!! Crazy little kids! :)
My daughter is going to Jump on it for a party this weekend and I am terrified that something like this will happen since she is to be baptized on Saturday and we will be having Family Pictures after that. Glad your little one is okay though.
Trieste! You decided to do a blog! I saw your comment on Alicia's blog. I'm adding you to our 'list' so I hope that's okay!
Yes! Let's do the digi scraping session! My dad pre-ordered me the new photoshop elements that comes out Oct. 20 and I got it for scraping, so let's do it! There are soooo many cute digi page kits I want. Thursday is great! What time?
Oh, and I voted yes on the preschool thing. Here's why (for what it's worth):
1-I think it gives them and the stay at home parent a nice break from each other a couple times a week
2-They learn social skills they can't learn at home, both with other kids and teachers
3-It also helps to have a part of the day/week be structured (I know OUR home life sure isn't always)
4-They learn how to be in a group, in a classroom, and the rules and skills that carry them through their school years.
5-It's so fun to see what they learn/do while they're away and the stories they tell you about it later!
Like I said, for what it's worth. (And because my emphasis was in ECE, but I know you have one up on me there)
