We celebrated Thanksgiving Day at my Mom's house this year. We started a new tradition (well, maybe) of making gingerbread houses with the kids. It was more like the parents did all the work and most of the decorating with some help from the kiddos and at the time we were thinking that maybe it wasn't such a great idea. But, looking back on it, it was such a fun experience and a great new tradition. worth the mess and aggravation at the icing not working the way we wanted it to or dealing with our leaning houses. It was a fun time spent with family and hey, what's better than that! Jacie and Rylie really did enjoy making their house together and they each got to decorate their own gingerbread girl. We might have to start getting each child his/her own house in the future, but for now, they were able to share and decorate together. It was a fun day!
